There’s a cursed statue in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that’ll let you swap heart containers and stamina, a feature that you may remember from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The cursed statue is located within the emergency bunker in Lookout Landing, something you can stumble upon with the “Who Goes There?” and “A Deal with the Statue” side adventures — though you’ll need to unlock the paraglider first.

It’s a handy feature if you’re struggling with health or stamina, swapping one for the other simply with rupees. You can start “Who Goes There?” by talking to Jerrin in front of the bunker, while “A Deal with the Statue” will begin after talking to the statue itself.

What is the cursed statue in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

The cursed statue within the emergency bunker is where you can swap heart containers and stamina — the only requirement once you’ve found the statue is rupees. The statue will take either one of your hearts or chunks of stamina for 100 rupees, and then you can buy the essence of it back for 120 rupees. The key element is that you can buy back the essence in whatever form you want — heart containers or stamina.

If you wanted to add to your stamina, you’d sell the cursed statue the essence of a heart container for 100 rupees. Then you’d buy the essence back as stamina for 120 rupees. Doing this once will complete the A Deal with the Statue side adventure.

How to find the cursed statue in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

You’ll be able to seek out the cursed statue after you unlock the paraglider and the Gloom starts to seep into the emergency bunker.

Enter the Royal Hidden Passage — coordinates (-0253, 0132, 0008) — and start bashing your way through the rocks blocking the way. An easy way to do this is with bomb flowers attached to arrows, but a rock attached to a sword works fine, too. After the first rock is gone, continue until you get to two more — the statue is behind the right-hand rock blockade. Blast it away and continue to the statue.

Beyond the cursed statue

It’s worth bashing your way through the majority of the Royal Hidden Passage and digging into its nooks and crannies. There’s a lot of helpful items to be found, like flint, mushrooms, gemstones, and a chest containing rock salt. There are some baddies spread throughout, though, so be ready to fight.
